Our Craft, Our Yogurt, Our Why
Aroa was created from the belief that people deserve real food, not products built for mass production. Our passion is crafting fresh, artisanal yogurt using the best and purest ingredients. We combine traditional straining and small-batch production to create a yogurt like no other: luxurious, delicious, highly nutritious, probiotic-packed, and lactose-free.
We Love Local
Our approach starts with fresh, local Florida milk; all of our fruit sauces and marmalades are made in-house. We are also deeply committed to supporting our local farmers; over 70% of the fruit we use is from Florida!
The passion behind every bite
Maria
Maria is the Founder of AROA Craft Yogurt, a small-batch artisanal yogurt company born out of her love for real food and bold flavor. Raised in Venezuela, she grew up believing food can be both nourishing and delicious, a philosophy that shows up in every Aroa creation. Now in Miami, she leads the team with a hands-on approach and a deep commitment to crafting yogurt, wanting to share the joy of how even a simple, humble cup of yogurt can bring you to the present moment. When she's not in the production room, she's already dreaming up her next recipe, because creating and sharing food that's delicious and healthy is her why.
Beth
Beth is the Co-Founder of AROA Craft Yogurt. Raised in the Northeast, her love for yogurt started at a young age. Her first spoonful of Aroa yogurt was Lime Pie — and the rest was history! Soon enough, her greatest passion became sharing the joy of AROA. Always a friendly face behind our sales and customer experience, she is relentless in making sure everyone has the same delicious yogurt experience as she had. If you ever wonder why the yogurts sound as delicious in the descriptions as they taste in real life, that's because Beth makes our yogurts sound as good as they taste, as the "Voice of Aroa."
What is Fresh Yogurt?
We make AROA yogurt in small batches in Little Havana, Miami, using fresh Florida milk, local fruit whenever possible, and live cultures and probiotics, which give our yogurt its creamy, inimitable, well-balanced flavor and texture. Good yogurt takes time: four days of sourcing, fermenting, and straining before it's ready. No preservatives, no shortcuts.
"We are a walking oxymoron. We take all the time in the world to craft our yogurt — and then we run to bring it to your spoon as fast as humanly possible. The moment a container is filled, it goes out the door."
Source
Local milk. Fresh Florida milk, sourced from regional farms we trust.
Ferment
With live cultures & probiotics. Slow fermentation that builds real flavor and gut-nourishing goodness.
Strain
The old-fashioned way. Hung and strained by hand — patient, traditional, no shortcuts.
Add in
Fresh fruits & veggies. Local fruit, freshly ground spices, brewed teas — recipes crafted to the level of a fine dining kitchen.
Every ingredient earns its place.
We have a holistic vision for every recipe; the fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices are just as important as the yogurt base itself. Each flavor is a complete culinary composition — creative, well-balanced, and held to the standard of a fine dining restaurant. We brew teas, grind spices in-house, and work with local ingredients not just as add-ins, but as equal partners in the cup. The same care and technique that goes into our yogurt base goes into every element that joins it.
